History's life lessons

History has had a huge impact on how society is to this day. Many things, such as inventing new technologies and creating new laws dictates how each person lives there life daily. History has taught us many life lessons as time has progressed. One major one is hers can come from anywhere. Not all heroes have to be the big muscular guy who wears a cake. Sometimes the least expected people are the ones that do the most extraordinary things. For instance, Martin Luther King fought for African American rights and conquered many obstacles to get there. He made an everlasting impact that gave African Americans courage to keep fighting for equality even after his death.
Another life lesson is that you will never know where you'll be tomorrow. History has shown us that things can change drastically over a couple years or in a matter of seconds. The president for instance, grew up normal just as everyone else, however following the day he was elected, his life changed forever. Or in the case of war, anyones life is likely to change within minutes. After dropping the bomb in Hiroshima during WWII, those peoples life changed within a matter of minutes and would never go back to how things were before. Everyday there is limitless possibilities ahead of us, and it is not always up to us to determine how things will be tomorrow.
Lastly, history has taught us not to let rejection knock you down. Some of the most successful people today, have faced many hardships where things didn't work out the first time. During the time of the civil rights movement, people fought constantly to gain their rights. They were rejected plenty of times, but didn't let them stop them. They kept fighting for what they believed with, which eventually gained them rights. Today many protests are held for gun violence as well as women rights. Their ideas have been shot down, but no one plans on giving up.
